Art + Entomology residency Creative research

In collaboration with entomologists and arachnologists, artist Lesley Kendall has been engaged as a creative researcher.

She will apply her creative lens and practice to the invertebrate project. Lesley proposes to make a collection of small, lifelike paper sculptures interpreting the diversity of rainforest invertebrates in Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve.  Lesley’s visual research will be displayed at the Rainforest Discovery Centre and her resolved paper sculptures showcased in an exclusive exhibition in 2022.

Lesley will be facilitating a hands-on creative workshop on Sunday 24th October.  Create your own Rainforest Butterfly in Ink.  Spaces are limited, book here.
