Visitors to Mary Cairncross should take advantage of our range of kits that may be borrowed free-of-charge from the front desk. Each portable kit is tailored to help you get more out of your walk.

Free kits include:

• Junior Ranger Kit - jam-packed full of science gadgets that will inspire your kids to become junior rangers exploring the biodiversity of our reserve. 
• Forest Explorer Kit - the tools in this kit will bring out the citizen scientist in you. 
• Mindfulness Kit - a kit to help you slow down, engage your senses and relax.
• Noticing Nature Kit - borrow one of our clipborads and record your forest observations. Your observations will help us to build a seasonal calendar across the year. 
• Forest detective frames - use the frame to help focus your attention, will you find all of the forest treasures on the list?

Ask our friendly volunteers at the front desk to assist. All kits are available to borrow free of charge, you just need to leave your licence or car keys.
